How to Add a Product in FuseOffice Inventory

Use this guide to create a new product, whether it’s a standard item, digital file, or service.


1. Go to the Product Form

Navigate to:

Inventory > Products > Add Product

This opens the full product setup screen.


2. Choose the Product Type

Select the correct type:

  • Standard - physical items you track in stock.

  • Digital – files users download (e.g., PDFs, software).

  • Service – non-stock activities like consulting or repairs.

The form automatically adjusts based on your selection.


3. Enter Basic Product Details

Fill in the core information:

  • Name – the product’s display name.

  • Code – unique identifier (use the refresh icon to auto-generate).

  • Brand – optional.

  • Category – required for organization.

  • Barcode Symbology – choose if you print barcodes.

For digital products, upload the file.


4. Set Measurement Units (Standard Products Only)

If the product is Standard, select:

  • Base Unit (e.g., Each, Box, KG)

  • Sale Unit

  • Purchase Unit

The system automatically shows related units based on your base unit.


5. Enter Cost and Price

Provide the values:

  • Cost – how much it costs you.

  • Price – selling price.

  • Daily Sale Objective – optional target.

  • Alert Quantity – minimum stock level before system alerts you.


6. Apply Tax Settings

Choose:

  • Tax – the tax rate to apply.

  • Tax Method

    • Exclusive - tax is added on top

    • Inclusive - price already includes tax


7. Inventory Options (Standard Products Only)

Toggle options based on how you manage the product:

  • Has Batch – track by batch number.

  • Has Expiry – track expiry dates.

  • Has EMEI/Serial – track unique serial numbers.

  • Different Warehouse Pricing – set different prices per warehouse.

  • Finished Product or Raw Material – define how it appears in manufacturing.


8. Upload an Image

Add a product photo.
Only common image formats (JPG, PNG) are allowed.


9. Add Product Details

Use the Details box to describe the product - specs, usage, notes, etc.


10. Enable Variants (Optional)

Turn on Variants if this product has sizes, colors, models, etc.


11. Save the Product

Click Add Product.

You will then see:

  • A link to manage the product, or

  • An option to add another product.
